Junior Holiday English
During school holiday periods, our Junior Holiday English program combines English study with excursions around Sydney. The program offers students 12 to 18 years of age the opportunity to improve their English skills and make friends from all over the world.
Learn English and Experience the Best Sydney Attractions
Four days of English classes within our junior program allows students to improve their fluency and increase their English vocabulary. They will also practice grammar and writing.
One day each week is spent exploring some of Sydney’s best sights, giving students the opportunity to practice their English in a real-world environment.
Students can choose to stay with our welcoming homestay families, where they will enjoy learning about Australian culture while practising their English.
JHE Activities include:
- The Rocks Walking Tour and Sydney Harbour Bridge Pylon Lookout
- Watson’s Bay and South Head Lighthouse
- Wildlife Park
- Aussie Farm Visit
- Darling Harbour, Sydney Tower and Sydney Sealife Aquarium
- Bondi Beach walk and BBQ
- Taronga Zoo
- Manly Beach
- Sydney Opera House Tour and Art Gallery of NSW

AEAS Test Option
JHE students have the option of adding an AEAS test to their time at the college. Tests are held every Wednesday so students can take a test during their course or the week following.

Students can begin the Junior Holiday English course on any of the dates below and study for a minimum of one week. If you would like to begin earlier than these dates you can join our High School Preparation program until the course begins.
- Summer Program: January 2*, January 8, January 15, January 22,
- Autumn Program: March 19, March 26, April 3*, April 9, April 16, April 23,
- Winter Program: July 16, July 23, July 30, August 6, August 13, August 20
Please note: This course is not available to Student Visa holders.
